Thermo-siphon systems move household water or a heat-transfer fluid through the system without pumps. The systems have the advantages that electricity outage and electric pump breakdown are not issues. This makes it generally more reliable and easier to maintain, and possibly are often less expensive than active systems, and are also generally more efficient due to direct heat transfer to storage tank.

This system can be used with two different water supplies
1. From a storage tank water supply
2. From a pressured municipality supply

An assisting tank is available to assist with reducing high pressure water supply to low pressure supply.
